Nose: Heavy and thick; lots of pale fudge (slightly salted), cooked fruitmix (like yellow overripe apples and peaches), beeswax, oranges and tangerines, dried apricots and a wet, very fruity and oily Sherry aroma with some haselnuts
Taste: Delicate white pepper, dry honeywine (mead), salted caramel (fudge), oranges, yellow dried fruits, slighlty nutty with marzipan;
with water the pepper softens and a very pleasent sweet fruitiness appears
Finish: Warming with some nice spices and an bitter oak edge, getting dryer with an oily, fruity Sherry influence
Very good at its cask strength but a little bit of still water makes this whisky shine!
